Montreal Casino & Hotel

Montreal, Canada

Few casino hotels sit inside a piece of world's-fair history. This one does. Its home on Île Notre-Dame is the former French pavilion from Expo 67, joined to the old Québec pavilion next door.

Guests get island parkland, river views from the dining rooms and a cabaret stage with a busy calendar. Gaming occupies several floors within the structure. Downtown is close: a short taxi ride, or the metro via Parc Jean-Drapeau.

Fallsview Casino Resort

Niagara Falls, Canada

Book a high floor on the falls side and the Horseshoe Falls fill the window. That outlook is the reason most people choose this resort over its neighbours.

The complex is large enough to stay put for a weekend. A full spa, a theatre that books touring headliners, a retail gallery and a wide spread of restaurants sit under one roof. One wing holds the casino. The Niagara Parkway lies at the foot of the hill.

River Rock Casino Resort

Richmond, Canada

Flights land a few minutes away at YVR, and the Canada Line runs from nearby Bridgeport station into central Vancouver. That makes River Rock a practical base as well as a resort.

Most accommodation is suite-style, and plenty of rooms look over the Fraser. There's a theatre for concerts and comedy nights, a marina on the riverbank and an indoor pool. The gaming floor shares the site with all of it.

Casino Rama Resort

Rama, Canada

Lake Couchiching and the town of Orillia are close neighbours. So is a lot of quiet forest. The resort stands on Rama First Nation land, about ninety minutes north of Toronto by car.

A hotel tower overlooks the grounds. Its entertainment centre draws big-name concerts and comedy, a spa handles the slower hours, and restaurants range from a buffet to a steakhouse. Its gaming floor sits alongside these rather than above them.
